BetonFIP TIXO POLIMER MONO R4

BetonFIP TIXO POLIMER MONO R4 has been designed and formulated to enable simple and reliable operations to restore, repair or reinforce degraded concrete structures such as:
• road infrastructures, bridges/viaducts, overpasses, counter walls, tunnel soffits;
• railway infrastructure, bridges/viaducts, tunnel soffits, stations, shelters, warehouses;
• hydraulic infrastructures, canals, reservoirs, purifiers, pipelines, dams, canal bridges;
• sea structures, jetties, wharves, adduction canals;
• civil structures, schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, residential buildings.

BetonFIP TIXO POLIMER MONO R4 can be applied on macroscopically rough substrates, on sandblasted or roughened substrates with water under pressure ≥ 400 bar, depending on the thicknesses to be achieved.
It can be applied, in thicknesses from 10 to 50 mm, by hand using the rendering technique or by spraying using a piston or auger plastering machine. Continuous cycle plastering machines must not be used.
In conditions of high temperatures or strong ventilation, it is recommended to add BetonFIP CL water retention to the powdered part, dosed at 0.5% of the weight of the mortar.

Adhesion to the substrate is guaranteed by the high adhesive capacity of the polymer contained in the mortar.
Its special formulation increases the durability of the structure due to its high resistance to aggressive environmental agents such as chlorides, sulphates, carbon dioxide, etc.

The main requirements and performances that identify BetonFIP TIXO POLIMER MONO R4 are:

High adhesion, helps to achieve long-term monolithicity with the original structure;
Excellent resistance to cracking, it is a fundamental requirement to guarantee durability of the intervention, not creating easy entry routes for aggressive environmental agents. This resistance is achieved by combating plastic shrinkage cracking, thanks to the presence of specific polyacrylonitrile fibres in the product;
Excellent resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, increasing the durability of concrete structures frequently exposed to low temperatures;
Excellent resistance to aggressive environmental agents, durability is guaranteed thanks to the very high impermeability that prevents water, chlorides, sulphates and carbon dioxide from entering the structure;
High mechanical resistance, for restoration and repair work it is important to have high resistance to short seasoning both for working under traffic (vibrations, etc.) and for quick commissioning;
